@Epimpin101 I'm not saying that RJ is good, or not good, or whatever. Because you're right, he's been a relatively solid player. I'm saying that the joke in this commercial is that Ali G doesn't think he's any good.

@Epimpin101 On the contrary, the joke definitely is Ali G is saying he's not very good. Listen again. :20 the imagined phone call, the coach is telling the president, "no, no he can't play!" and the president says, "get him in there, or off with your head!"
Sure, he calls Jefferson a "superstar," but that's because Ali G isn't very smart and he always uses hyperbole for EVERY guest, in these commercials and in his show.

@sananima no the joke is defenitley not that deep, it's just he has the same last name as Thomas Jefferson, so he'll make a joke about that. Richard Jefferson is a very good player, he's not a superstar but he's a very solid NBA player.
