Crystal Reports is expensive and inferior to (Free) SQL Server Reporting Services, with analysis services and SQL Server. All of these platforms are also about five times easier to install than Oracle Database / Crystal
If you use this software you are an idiot, but if you want to pay $500 an install - go for it

Hey Darsa,
Every current business one customer is entitled to a free copy of crystal report designer from SAP. All you need to do is contact your partner or SAP if you do not have a partner to receive yours.

in this demo, we see how we can import crystal reports, so i can start programming them before i get the upgrade correct? does that mean that i have to buy/install crystal on my computer before i get the upgrade?

Can we request a trial version of 8.8? it looks so interesting and it make all reports easier than the 2007.

If you're an existing SAP customer (and you've paid all your bills) you should be able to get 8.8 for free. It just takes some time to set up a testing system going. Often, your implementation partner will do this for you so you can see the new product.
If you're a new SAP customer (meaning you haven't purchased the product yet), you can get a demo from anyone (including us). When general release happens, SAP usually releases a 30 day trial as well.
