An amazing song by an amazing band. Monstrosity is a very unknown, and very underrated band. This was George Fishers first band, and an Cannibal Corpse fan should listen to them.
Lyrics:
Earthly planet revolving moon and sun
Eclipse of light will evoke it's death
The years of display forthcoming decay
The age of fire now crawling quick
Soon to disintegrate with the ashes of our destiny
A swirling mass now ethereal
Shadows of our past have frozen
Time remaining is drifting by
You listen to hear the chimes of revelation
Calling out to greet the spawn of doom
Your journey continues in a downward spiral
Clinging to walls of a boundless room
Grasp for understanding of your pathetic life
Pain encircles your soul like vultures in the sky
You cannot claim reason for your mind is numb
Life will be a fragment...of your memory
MANIC!
Searching for the answers of your destiny
Frantic paces towards the end of history
Solutions to be revealed at the end of life
Yet the questions in your mind make you
MANIC!
Searching for the answers of your destiny
Frantic paces towards the end of history
Solutions to be revealed at the end of...LIFE!
Constantly questing for the blueprints of our design
To your fallacy of long ago I cannot resign
Exploration for the schemes missing puzzle piece
This labyrinth called life makes you manic in the mind
You listen to hear the chimes of revelation
Calling out to greet the spawn of doom
Your journey continues in a downward spiral
Clinging to walls of a boundless room
Grasp for understanding of your pathetic life
Pain encircles your soul like vultures in the sky
You cannot claim reason for your mind is numb
Life will be a fragment...of your memory
MANIC!
Searching for the answers of your destiny
Frantic paces towards the end of history
Solutions to be revealed at the end of life
Yet the questions in your mind make you
MANIC!
Monstrosity Info:
Monstrosity is a floridian death metal band from the USA. The band formed in 1990 by Lee Harrison (drummer).
One of the first innovative bands to arise from the Tampa-Death-Metal scene. George Corpsegrinder Fishers performed vocal duties in this band before joining Cannibal Corpse. Monstrosity blend an extreme sense of dissonant technicality with aggressive riffing and vocals that paint images of imminent doom. The band has had members from Cynic, Death, Malevolent Creation and Morbid Angel.
Their debut Imperial Doom came in 1992 on Nuclear Blast and set the pace of the already rapid aggressive vocals and technical guitars flowing through the songs. These received very good reviews at the time and the band drove up for another release.
The band second release, was more experimental than their first and brings the music technicality down a notch but it still proves to be one fine album. The album Millennium was released eventually in 1996 on Conquest Music.
However, the band fell again with line up changes and a different take on the musical exception taking their next album In Dark Purity to the same as the debuts direction. With heavy, catchy, aggressive riffing and hard growls to finish off the intense album.
In May of 2001, they were back offering a double dose of mayhem with a double CD entitled Enslaving the Masses. Disc one has an array of songs remixed and remastered from their previous albums. Disc two is a monumental Live album. The release was followed by an 80 date tour in the US.and Canada. The album was released in 2001 on Hammerheart Records

The first four Cannibal Corpse albums are the best. When Barnes left they went to shit. This Monstrosity album came out same time as Vile if i remember, and this pisses on Vile. Corpsegrinder was great in this band, but not CC. They will never beat Eaten back to life !!

@Punjabi192
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but how the fuck is Tomb of the Mutilated terrible??

@Trippinhighman It just doesnt sound very tight to me. It sounds like a really mushy sound. For example Addicted to Vagina Skin, it rushes from one part to another with some really bad transitions.
