With all due respect and to all of you that think it is hug, if you pay attention to all romantic songs in english, how many of them say "hug me"?
"Hold me", "hug me" or "embrace me" could be the translation to that song, but at the same time, they could not be. All those verbs have also different connotations.
To me, "hug" is more for friends. So I decided "hold" would sound better.
