u r absolutly correct! a 758 fpgc going over 1400 fps which is too recoil 4 anyone out there. however, thats what i do & fact is i did not get hit though its too close so as you can see threre is only so much could be acomplished with such a handgun & curently i keep velocity at 1200 - 1300 fps at max..

R4mmv. thank u for your comment however. i'v been doing this since 1990 & no scope ever should be put on dangerous game guns at close range. this recoil is as far as it goes without loosing controll and it was ment to display the bfr potential.

to rio hondo. my bfr's penetrate 18-20 inch's of dry phone books not feets. i always chronograph every load i develop. sw 500 uses 42 gr of h-110 to get the speed & i use much bigger cases with fest rifle powders and 10.5 inch bbl. which i demonstrated in linebaugh seminars several times. last, best penetration occures at speeds 1400-1550 fps !! fester wont give you more its just a hype nowadays. avi 1tufgun

@RioHondoHank Is it a functioning configuration? You have the 7.5" barrel? I'm interested in one of Huntington's conversions but I have a hard time believing enough powder gets burned in the barrel to give better than S&W .500 results. Have you chronied yours? If so what weight bullets @ what speeds.
