Dear Kickstarter Fans!

FIVE COUNTRIES, SIX BIRTHS, SEVEN BABIES is a multi­chaptered DVD showing homebirths in Guatemala, Costa Rica, France, the USA and Bermuda. It reminds us how simple and pure a drug­ free birth can be.

Filmed between 1994 and 2010, each country is a short 7-15 minute chapter on the DVD. These chapters are helpful and inspiring for women, families, childbirth educators and the health care community. The entire program is just over an hour but the individual chapters make it easy to use in classes, conferences and lectures.

Good births, like the ones in FIVE COUNTRIES, SIX BIRTHS, SEVEN BABIES, are positive, life-transforming events. We believe there is a lot to learn from them.

We have been attending and filming births for many years. It is clear to us that showing powerful images of mothers and babies at birth is an inspiring way to reduce fear. Once fear and ignorance are allayed, a joyful, if not ecstatic, birth is possible.
