Louie, our precious feline living soul, passed on 1/12/09. He was a svelt 30 pound Maine Coon; big NOT fat. He suffered from asthma and cardiomyopathy, part of what sometimes comes with being the giant male Maine Coon he was. He was only 8 years old. We miss him terribly. Give some stars to Louie if you can. These videos are all we have of him now, and stars mean a lot to my family. He was one of a kind. Long live the King.

  • I was sorry to hear about your loss but so happy to see videos of him. I have a big (not fat) Maine Coon boy who is 19 months old and the love of my life. They get so deep inside us and I bet you still miss him three years later. They are all such characters but I find male Maine Coons have even more little quirks than other breeds.

  • @moondog203 That was a joke, by the way. ;)

  • @moondog203 This is a good question. On November 30th, 2009, all cat lovers gathered at our secret moon base and decided that it was more worth our time to look at cat videos and say silly things to our cats rather than laugh at jokes or even comprehend them. We made a pact, upon the gloriousness of our feline companions, to never find jokes funny again.

  • I am so sorry for your loss. From the way that you wrote about him, I can see that he must have had a really wonderful 8 years living with a good family. My experience with great cats who come into our lives is that they don't really ever leave. The sweet and the wonderful memories of time spent with him will stay with you and keep his nature alive. I'm positive that he loved you guys as much as you loved him. :)

  • Do you cat lovers ever find jokes funny?

  • What a beautiful boy. I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope that you have been able to ease your sorrow a bit over the last few years and perhaps even have gotten another M.C. kitty? Warm thoughts to you!

  • I lost my 20 pound m.c. this spring at about the age of 6 to renal failure. These big sweethearts are genetically disposed to so many problems, due to bad breeding. I will always miss my big boy and will never regret adopting him!

  • It's never easy to loose someone who we have loved with all of our heart, and I'm so sorry for your loss. I understand because I had a beautiful kitty who went to heaven nearly 2 years ago. Chloe was my heart. I can only hope that when we die that we really do see the ones that we love again.

  • i miss our maine coon. George was such a great cat. Tragically he died in my wife's lap from a heart attack. We miss you georgie.
