Recorded at ReFuel in Dunedin, New Zealand during a benefit gig appearance with The Chills. "What I Believe" is a new song from underground legend George D Henderson and The Puddle. This song will lead the new Puddle album "Playboys in the Bush" planned for release mid 2010. There are two other albums by The Puddle available on Fishrider Records (No Love - No Hate and The Shakespeare Monkey) http://www.myspace.com/fishriderrecords and one on Powertool Records (Songs for Emily Valentine). A 12" EP (Pop Lib), a Live album (Live at the Teddy Bears Club), a studio album (Into the Moon) and a 7" single (Thursday) released between 1986 ad 1993 on Flying Nun Records are all out of print and rarer than radium if you can find them at all.

  • Heath is a machine. He's amazing.

  • Check out "The Clientele George Says" on youtube for a great band's new tribute to George and The Puddle.

  • Sum 41 is better !

  • Hey, Sum 41 also have a song of this name! How cool is that!

  • You'll find two more live Puddle videos (Dec 2006) if you search and play a New Zealots vid then click "more from this user"

  • Visit gdh at my space (as George D. Henderson, or go thru insanitywetrust's link). This was recorded at a Hepatitis C benefit with The Chills, he got over his own with diet and supplements and has blogged the info. GDH reports that his health is now better than it ever was. I think you can hear that here, if you compare it with say, Into the Moon.

  • It's the drumming that amazes me. Those rolls are just too fast to be playable, surely? This was a vastly enjoyable experience for all concerned.

  • I've posted a couple of classics from the Puddle back catalogue ("Thursday" and "Southern Man") on my website for free download. I can't seem to post he URL here check my profile for the link.
