  • Fats is so the shit, real deal feel, very underrated. RIP.

  • Fats was surely chillin and kickin back with some Otis Rush a couple of days before this show!!

Never heard anyone who was any more fluent and versatile. Somebody ought to introduce the editors of Rolling Stoned ragazine to MISTER Michael Mann.

  • THANK YOU for uploading these vids of the James Harmon Band and Hollywood Fats! I used to love watching them gig at the White House in Laguna Beach back in the 80's. What an incredible show they would put on! I've never heard a better band live - ever.

  • Gather round Nova Scotia people like Carter Chaplin Brad Conrad and Garrett Mason of Truro and so many more - here is Hollywood Fats, destroying as we knew he must have done - but for which video evidence was lacking. I saw a Canned Heat show here in '78, roughly, and so may have seen Fats and not known it or remembered it. I recall a Randall backline sponsorship, the Bear playing harp, Fito's solo, high volume. Some dude on smack fell down the Dal Arts Center stairwell. Same drug Mann used?

  • Ahh, Fats, how we miss you, man. Great video upload! --and unusual vid of Mann playing a 335 too. Nice!

  • Its so good to see this stuff surfacing on YouTube, Fats was a force of nature....

  • Sweet, Man he just ripped it, Cut loose, Spanked it hard and made it cry, Smokin hot, Had a mind mold with his guitar, Spring loaded vibrato, String binding finger flying blues playing s.o.b. Thanks for the upload.

  • got lost at 3.14 but made a quick recovery

  • R.I.P. Hollwood Fats!!!!

  • WOW! So Great! We lost Fats on this day Dec 8, 1986... way, way, too young
