On this week's TouchLine, host Anthony Totera interviews FC Dallas and Colorado Rapids players in preparation for Sunday's 2010 MLS Final to be played at BMO Field, including Dallas' Eric Alexander, Dax McCarty and Brek Shea (mid-fielders), and Colorado`s Jeff Larentowicz (mid-fielder), Conor Casey (forward), Matt Pickens (goal-keeper) and former TFC star, Marvell Wynne (center-back), on their assessment of the opposition and their personal impressions looking forward to playing in front of Toronto soccer fans in the first-ever MLS Championship Game to be played at BMO Field.

Between team practices, MLS Commissioner, Dan Garber, and U.S. Soccer Federation President, Sunil Gulati, also provided information and a progress report on the U.S. bid for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The executive committee will gather at FIFA headquarters in Zurich, listen to final presentations from each of the bidding groups and then vote on Thursday, Dec. 2. The voting will take place behind closed doors and through secret ballot. With two members suspended, 22 votes will be cast. In case of a tie, FIFA President Sepp Blatter will determine the winner.

The committee will first vote on the 2018 host (England, Russia, Spain/Portugal, Netherlands/Belgium) and then the 2022 event (USA, Australia, Qatar, Japan, South Korea).

To win hosting rights, a bidding country must receive an absolute majority (more than 50 percent -- at least 12 votes). With each failure to achieve an absolute majority, the bid with the fewest votes will drop out of contention. In case of a tie for last place, an intermediate round involving the bottom bids will be conducted.

When the outcomes are reached, the results will be placed in envelopes and delivered by a notary to Blatter for the formal announcement.
