guy at 0:17 is so frat.

The point of a cover is to do your own rendition, not to make an exact replica. This is a great cover, plain and simple.
-
I think it should be a rule that if you are going to do a cover, then you ought to be able to hit the notes and the passion done in the original if you are copying it verbatim. "See Big Head Todd and the Monsters cover of Eric Clapton's "Forever Man" as an example."
-
this is a great cover...great musicians on stage...dunno what all the haters r talkin about
-
Not quite as powerful as Peter Gabriel's version, but i don't think any musician other than Peter himself could make that happen, so nice work Dave Matthews.
-
thanks to pete for writing this and giving guys like dave to give awesome interpretations
-
@spbilleaudeaux give me a fawking break! Let's see your video of you doing it correctly and perfect and with a sold out crowd paying to watch you.

Dave will always be Dave, imaginative, unpredictable, and most of all, significant. Great song, great cover. Love Trey and Tim at the end, feeding off of each other.
