  • This is Brilliant! I'm so impressed. There is actually NOTHING this lady cannot do! Next step: world domination...

  • That comment about Bernadette is so far off its almost funny. There isn't a song in existence that Bernadette can't handle.

  • Billie sang this song informed by her tragic, life, experiences, which included, rape, prostitution, drug addiction, social and professional discrimination and segregation and both physically and emotionally abusive relationships. She also came from a Blues and Jazz background.Bernadette comes to this from a totally different perspective and background. She is also a Broadway performer a medium different from the way Billie had of selling a song. Bernadette was herself and she was good !

  • bernadette and i studied vocals under lola benett this is augie rios bernie nice 2 here u working those vocal chords tried 2 get in touch with u at the tony's i was there

  • Bernadette is wonderful , the horns & percussion are too hot (loud)

  • @mtmorrispk It was a celebration FOR him so she was singing to him.Of course he's going to be "enraptured". The woman was one of his daughters. He doesn't date black women. Who knows why? He just doesn't.

  • Jeez. Yes, Billie Holliday sang a beautiful, gut-wrenching rendition of this song. Personally, I think that it will never be topped. But that doesn't change the fact that Bernadette sang it beautifully. Singers interpret pieces differently, that's what makes music interesting.

  • love this interpretation! notice the woman next to quincy jones as she cuts him a look at 4:11...it's as if she annoyed that he's too enraptured by the sultry & wonderful bernadette

  • Simple Perfection

  • @joeA2000 any irony in that?
