What a clever tool.

Also, if the head is left in it has more of an opportunity to release diseases into the bloodstream of the host, It's saliva and gut contents get squeezed out when you squeeze a tick to remove. Ticks are just frigging disgusting! Hate them through and through!

If the head is still left in it can reproduce

does it matter if the head is still left in?

And the tick starts nom nom noming on your hand.

@Mr276361 I was told by a pastor that God did NOT create ticks, mosquitoes, etc as we know them. After Adam and Eve sinned numerous changes came about with the animals. In the garden the lions were vegetarians but after ward they ate other animals to maintain a balance. Ticks underwent a change also. They are just one aspect of living in a less then perfect world.

i tried taking it off my dog but its scary cuz he .... yea someone please do it for me!!
This is probably a sheep tick or hedgehog tick. It is mainly seep ticks we get here in Scotland. They don't seem to cause any real disease problems such as Lymes Disease(more of a problem in people and certainly this is on the increase here)
Thanks for your comment

Thanks Susan.
It really was very simple to put this video together. We have a very successful grooming centre at the forefront of our complete veterinary health care package. Having my team of groomers constantly caring for dogs coats, gives a great opportunity to engage with pet owners and advise on a wide range of health care issues including parasitic problems such as ticks and fleas. Getting the best advice, from the veterinary professionals is paramount
