  • great performance from a great minivan!

  • okay, that is the stupidest thing i ever heard - an airbag is ugly - they all are!! and who cares how it looks as long as it protects you?!

plus the iihs rates the odyssey's head protection as "good", same as the sienna

the airbag is thick and large enough to prevent the dummy from hitting the steering wheel

stiff?! how would you know if it's stiff?? all airbags are stiff, but it's better than hitting the steering wheel or pillar or the impact barrier!

  • Just For A Minivan, The Oddssey Is Pretty Impressive! Not To Mention The Mirror Did Not Fall Off!

  • My family's 05 Odyssey saved our lives two days ago when another driver lost control and hit us once head on, then again on the driver's side, where I was sitting. The Odyssey is a damn good, safe car that did exactly what it was supposed to do, and is the reason we got to walk away and spend our Christmas together.

  • Aerostar

  • @Jsoto1115 The airbag has too little give and is too small, Toyota Sienna has a much better airbag (applies to 2009; I posted the original comment in 2009)

Not all airbags are ugly - I mean they aren't designed to be pretty, but geeze Honda, do you have to make it that butt ugly?

  • @whattheheck1000 uhm what? ugly? one it will be there once in your lifetime if that and to i dont think its as stiff as the steering wheel or the metal surrounding you and three if its stiff how can it be thin.?

  • Windstar

  • @whattheheck1000 Why is the '05+ Odyssey a deathtrap...?

  • @beatlespersun ahahaha

  • @alexkvaskov At least you can stop an Odyssey :)

  • I have a friend who was in a crash in an Odyssey. Fortunately it was the safe 1999-2004 generation instead of the death trap 2005+ generation.
