@gaguy1967 Well, our charter protects cultures, so hopefully they don't clash. Oh god, are you serious? Don Cherry? Like, I like his personality and everything but his views I completely disagree with ,
-
@meloveicecream24 SO long as they obey Candian law and their culture doesnt clash with Canadian law. Don Cherry is a Canadian Icon
-
@gaguy1967 Well, we have two different points of view, and I strongly disagree with you. I think immigrants should adopt some Canadian values, the common strong ideals, but should be allowed to keep their own cultures too. And that's what happening. Your idea I don't think is working because this country is filling up fast with immigrants, which I see as a plus.
-
@meloveicecream24 There really should be only two canadian cultures. One for Quebec and one for the rest of Canada. immigrants should conform to these cultures and in Quebec they do. It is english canadians that are so frightened to assert their cultural heritage
-
@gaguy1967 I do appreciate Canadian culture. All I'm saying is that, as the cliche goes, Canada is a mosaic with DIFFERENT CULTURES all living side by side. Clearly you can't handle that concept.
-
@meloveicecream24 What is wrong if Canada if Islamic or African???/ If you have to ask that question, you dont appreciate Canadian heritage, culture and history. Youre a product of Trudeau's multicultural brainwashing that elevates worthless cultures and demotes Canada's history and traditions. Maybe Canadian women, Hindus and gays might not like an Islamic Canada, ever think of that????
-
@meloveicecream24 you do realize that NOT a single country was abiding by Kyoto. So Canada abandon something that no one was following. The left is angry because Canadda pointed out the hypocracy of Kyoto
-
@gaguy1967 And I think your kids (if you have any or plan to have any) will care that Canada pulled out of Kyoto when world starts getting really messed up weather wise.
-
@gaguy1967 Canada was an English/Scottish/French nation, not anymore. And no, it's not an Islamc or African nation. It's a combination of all those races and more. It's a mosaic, not a melting pot. And what's wrong if Canada was a predominantly African or Islamic nation? Nothing would be wrong with it.
-
@meloveicecream24 It is because Canada's national identity is all confused today. Canada is a English/Scottish/French nation, not a Islamic one, not an African one. No one cares that Canada is pulling out of a 15 year old treaty that no one was following anyways.
