On September 18, Virginia-based Homeless Animals Rescue Team (HART) helped to save 30 lucky Gulf Coast dogs who were left homeless by the economic devastation of the oil spill. Volunteers with Pilots & Paws flew the rescued dogs to Warrenton Airport, where HART and other rescue groups transported them to foster homes.
