The Story of Adam and Eve part 3/4

Taking the story of Adam and Eve literally creates tremendous scientific and cultural issues for society. However, reading it is a MYTH allows us to find new and meaningful interpretations that can be better applied to our lives. There is much beneath the surface of this story, and that is precisely the nature of myth. By myth, I dont mean a lie, or something thats false that holds no value. Myths are stories that reveal fundamental realities and insights about human nature, as a particular society perceives them.

In part 3, I talk about the expulsion and the concept of good and evil in Judaism, using as a foundation the story of Adam and Eve.

@raptor9162 jeez man I'm just working with the images that I can find on the internet ... and I never said Adam and Eve were the first humans. I refer to them as the first of the Jews. There were people living outside the garden! In Gen 4:14 Cain fears that whoever finds him wandering in the land of Nod will kill him! So who is he afraid of?

Was really enjoying this and its very imformative... but the music in the background is so distracting and also I am hard of hearing so every high pitched sound drowns out the voice. had to give up watching it. :( otherwise its great.

@KelzLife The writer of Genesis 3v16 had a (failed) theory that God deliberately made child birth more difficult, would such an act be worthy of praise? I don't think so ! The real reason for the difficulties of delivery are to do with the evolutionary change between quadrupedalism and bipedalism and the changes to anatomy of pelvis that went with that. In Gen 3v16 was the observation of increase in pain a comparison to how other animals give birth or to the imagined perfect beginning in Eden?

@wishywishy Wow!You are a slave to the Bible!Genesis CLEARLY states that God created the Universe in 6 days.It also states that Adam was the first and ONLY man and that woman was made from man's rib.

Did God create other humans outside of Eden?If so,what was their purpose?If Jews are God's chosen people & Adam was a Jew,did God create other people so that Jews would have enemies?God gave details on how to attack,kill & enslave people from other tribes.Is that why God created other people?
