Showdown in San Angelo Top Fuel Drag Boat Crash

This is the crash that happened during the Top Fuel Drag Boat Final Races on Sunday, June 27, 2010. The racer noticed something wrong, deployed the parachute, but becasue of the parachute, drifted and the other racer got caught up in his parachute and wrecked.

@Fuktupratbag Haas was having trouble keeping it straight and hit the blue buoy then crossed into Daryl's lane. Watch it again and keep your eye on the blue buoy.

@Lizard5571 It was Haas' chute that wrapped up Daryl when Haas crossed into Daryl's lane. Just one of those weird things that happen in drag boat racing. Daryl broke his back.

5 sec out of the hole he clipped something. you can see it fly up. he prob over compensated & he crossed paths so when he pulled his shoot, it opened right in his face, (so to speak).

Dam ! that was bad. Never seen THAT before. Whew !
