@masterofyngwie Have you made sure the IC is around the right way? Make sure the notch is on the right hand side. It's hard to see in the video.

what voltage is the led that you're using

@yankovic1234 It's a standard 5mm LED. They can handle a range of voltage but MUST always be used with a current limiting resister (R3 in this flashing circuit) else they will blow..

Spent a lot of time setting up bread board left, right and upside down. Cant get the LED to blink. Have turned led around, cap around, and double check the double check. Any ideas of what I have done wrong.

@jerrycarter1944 Make sure the LED works and also that the 555 timer IC is round the right way.
