  • I am in the USA and am learning American Sign Language (ASL), as well as a little tiny bit of BSL on my own because I want to someday travel to other countries.

BSL is very hard to learn in the USA because, well, it's all in ASL. So, I go to the Internet for my very elementary BSL instruction.

Thank you for the post of the BSL alphabet. I am right handed, but can easily reverse what you signed.

Now I know how to sign the alphabet in both BSL and ASL. Isn't that cool? :-)

  • Have you got msn or yahoo messager? If so can i have it please? Have you got cam 2 cam? if so we can teach each other on BSL and ASL because i might be going to New York at xmas time. Looking forward to hearing from you again. Stewart

  • what is your source?

  • last week i started the BSL lessons at brunel uni, i heard you wil be teaching there some time soon :) excellent video as i am left handed also, it makes it easier for me to learn from the left handed person.

  • It's good to see lefthanded signlanguage on myspace, because you just mirror it to right handedness.

Makes it so much easier to learn!!

    So thanks, x.

  • Also, in YouTube I have started a series of ASL attempts (my own attempts at signing in ASL) and short instructional videos in the language. Also, I will be creating my own video attempts at BSL as I learn it.

  • I find it better to set the webcam to "mute" if I record signing videos because it makes it more authentic and you can't hear any whispers that may come out :)

  • verry helpful as i am left handed and have recently been told i will be fully deaf by the end of this year (07). look forward to seeing more.
