When I head about the current conflict in the Gaza strip, I felt a disconnect between the numbers of casualties being reported, and America's alliance with Israel. Not satisfied with the representation on television, I decided to go to a Palestinian rally in Boston to hear what people there had to say.

While I was talking to Palestinian supporters, a group of Israeli protesters set up on the sidewalk in response. The confrontation between these two groups of people in Copley Square illustrates why a peace process in this region will be so difficult.

Peace will come someday, hopefully in our lifetime, but how many people have to die before israel is stopped from its slaughter of the Palestinians. I hate politics.... its like quicksand. But a slaughter is a slaughter, and as humans we all must help stop it. Especially when the slaughter is taking place with the weapons we Americans gave to them. There cannot be two sides to this issue - if you are a human being that is.

Israel is the farthest thing from democracy on the planet. Some people are just to friggin stupid to be allowed outside. I am an American I beleive in freedom. I do not beleive in the Israeli treatment of Palestinians. I challenge the Israeli supporters to compare the freedom of Palestinians to a free and democratic society. I also think it is too late for Israel, the war crimes are too great. The world will crush them and I will celebrate the day.
