The Lashley Advanced Bi-Rail Systems (LABIS) Train, an American concept, could cross the United States in about fourteen hours. The wide bodied, light vehicle, running above surface hazards, on elevated rails, at speeds of two hundred miles per hour or more would pick up and drop passengers along the way without stopping. It would do this by using a system of shuttle cars to transport passengers between boarding areas and the moving train.

  • me likely the concept. me want appropriate amount of research funding given to project for further research and prototyping. Me hope that this concept can be proving and practical to allow for numerous cross-country routes to help complement region high speed rail.

  • yea but the docking is stupid

  • My friend Ray Lashley who came up with the Labis train concept, is a brilliant engineer and a great man, too.
