New England Asphalt Mirafi PavingFabric & Chip Seal

In the video clip Skip Swiantek and Gary Boone of New England Asphalt explain how paving fabric is changing the way we approach municipal highway maintenance and commercial roadway rehabilitation. Up until recently we would pulverize and completely mill out the old pavement prior to placing a new layer. But now, thanks to the innovations of paving fabric by Mirafi we can place paving fabric over old pavement and either pave a new layer or apply oil and stone "chip seal" on top. The cost savings may approach 30% and the time factor is cut to less that a third allowing easy access for traffic while reconstruction.
