Shad O'Shea sits down with small group of friends to tell some of his favorite jokes. Shad passed away, in June of 2009, less than a year from the making of this video, .
@ppoobah Glad you liked it! I didn't move to Cincinnati until '77, so I knew nothing of Shad and his legend, but seeing him perform in front of this intimate group of friends was magical and I'm sure he made alot of new friends AND fans that special night! I know I was hooked! I think my favorite joke is the one when the dog says, "But, I never had 50 bucks before! Classic!
Thank you for sharing this video!! Shad and I were very dear friends and it was wonderful to hear his voice again! We had been friends 17 years when he passed on and I miss him terribly. This is a great way to remember him! Thank you, again!!
@BeatlesMusicFan9 Glad you could enjoy it! I shot this video when a new business associate asked me to document Shad's "shtick". He edited down what I shot in a different way than I presented. Sadly, I think it was only a few months after we had shot this that Shad passed away. I was honored to have captured his possibly last semi-public appearance.
I worked with Shad in the music business back in the 1980's and we became great friends. I loved him dearly. Thanks for sharing this video. It meant so much to me to see him again.
