  • Dennis thanks so much for your reply. What amp did you use? We have the same car.

  • @vipergt0 i'm using an alpine pdx 5. hope to throw in a sub or build a sub box eventually. Haven't spent time on the car since it's now a every other weekend car.

  • Nice vid. I'm trying to replace my head unit too but can't get the connection into the amp working to produce sound. Do you have part 6 of this video? I think it needs DSP. How did you do it?

  • @vipergt0 you can't use the stock amp, i have an aftermarket amp. What you do is cut the speaker wires from the stock harness, tap them into the new amp and then you will have sound. Hopefully that makes sense.

The other solution of course is to just run new speaker wires to the amp and unplug the stock ones from the speaker.

  • Good job Dennis, hehe

  • thanks, who are you by chance? lol..

  • At this point it's not much since I got the car recently. I have the system in there and my oem rims powder coated gunmetal.

When I get back, I'm going to install the ESS tune.

  • Nice job and good videos, any other mods done to your car?
