gareth bale is basically the equivalent of this guy but you know bales talent aint gonna be wasted. well, actually it well cos he will never get to play in the world cup. 150 million pound? hmmm so how much does that make iniesta, ribery and arjen robben who are all infinitely better

i remember one thing about Paul for Arsenal in those days....almost all his goals were clinical finishes or goal of the month contenders.
I agree - his vision AND technique were well ahead of its time, he was deservedly nicknamed 'Magic Man' and if anything, i would not hesitate to have him in my all time greatest Premiership XI.

Yes if the ''Magic Man'' Paul Merson would have kept himself clean he could have been a great player from England as well as Arsenal, his vision and technique was long before it's time. hence why we called him the magic man.
