@bootpig1 The Academy is overrated as a self-congratulatory centralized culture authority dictating to the people what is meaningful and what isn't. If another human being creates something imbued with a piece of their genuine humanity, lets me forget my life and shows me something of a possible someone else's, it's good to me. This is one of those movies. The Academy awards entertainment based on dollars and politics, and Cassavetes was way beyond any of that. Peace.

one of my favorite scenes from this movie. Gena Rowlands is amazing and so lovely in this. thank you for posting this!!!

Gena is a classic warrior in this Gem of a film. No one could hold a candle to her superb acting ,and desperation for moskowitz..

man, nearly everything John did was magic. Seymour C. was so great in the film.

I'm looking for a trailer for this film just to see what it looks like. I know it's not on dvd and read description of what it's about. Trailer would be really nice. Someone out there.. please upload the trailer if you have it. Thanks so much. Blah.
Why the heck hasn't the Academy given an Honorary Oscar to Cassevettes while Gena's still with us to accept it ...?
