The interesting thing is that Ray Allen did a much better job defending Kobe in the Finals but Kobe played better against him, don't get me wrong Shane is a great defender, but in this case I would rather say that it's more about Bryant who just couldn't find his game.

@noopz0r Kobe was thrown off because of the cockiness Shane brought against him during game one. Kobe can go off anytime he likes believe me but the real fury is unleashed when hes furious and doesn't give a damn about ball hogging or anything.

@justcruzzinn Ok, look you obviously don't know the whole story. If the Cavs had the best record then they were the best correct? So why couldn't they win the championship? Kobe knows how to lead a team when it MATTERS. The whole Cavs' system was ran with LeBron, then he left so they were screwed. Mo Williams was injured, Anderson Varejao was injured, Mike Brown left, and they made a trade which switched up everything. He had more wins in Cleveland than Miami so that means D-Wade carried LeBron.

@justcruzzinn Why bring up teammates when the record shows it? They had TWO 60+ win seasons. LeBron can't go 1v5 and get 60 wins now can he? So he obviously had teammates. His assists numbers have always been high. He averages 7 for his career. He averaged 8.6 apg in 2010. That's INSANE for a guy who plays SF. So his teammates obviously had to make shots for him to get those assists and they did.

@justcruzzinn If you need to tell people that LeBron is the best player in the league then there is clearly more to it. When Kobe was the best in the league...everybody knew it. You didn't have to ask anyone, it was simple Kobe was the best. At 33 years old, Kobe is still playing at a high level and the fact that a 33 year old is in discussion of the best player in the league with a 27 year old just shows you how good of a player Kobe is.

It pretty much proves how much better Jordan was than Kobe when you consider Shane Battier could never have limited MJ the way he did Bryant. Shane always guarded Kobe one on one and had the occasional 40 point game hung on him. Jordan would have dropped 60 on Battier routinely were he to be guarded by himself.
