Great review as always Dave. I don't know about everyone else but while a product like this does indeed look useful, the amount of wires, and that massive arm/suction cup, along with the extra aerial would drive me insane. IMO it looks a mess and cheap.

thanks for the review. can you tell me what its like when you are on the move and do you get any hiss at low volume. cheers

@dollarek1 I refer to another car ;)

@davomrmac astra is not classified as 4x4.

@shanksjacks1 maybe motorcycles shouldnt drive to fast, overtake like idiots and sit up most car's bumpers, then they might have more chance of being safe, nothing to do with badly placed DAB radios.

@shanksjacks1 This was in a 4x4 and it was in such a position that is caused no blind spots. Great comment though and very useful to others to take note. Thank you.

just one thing. why do u stick the unit right in the middle of ur windscreen?
everytime i see a sat nav or phone holder stuck on the screen it is in the middle of the screen.
this is a giant blind spot...
i think if you are reviewing something like this the least you should do is point out that it is safe to put it to oneside out of ur view.
u may not like or care much about motorcycles. but i guess u would if it was a child on a bike that was lost from view
Did that sticker for the stations come with the radio, and were they already pre-set? (Incidentally, theJazz doesn't exist anymore, and Virgin Radio is now Absolute Radio!)

@thepod96 Not sure about the sticker (long time ago), nothing was preset, you have to tune for your area.

Another way of recieveing the digital signal is by using the line out socket from the highway that can be plugged into the cars aux socket if fitted, Yes there are so many cables but there are ways of keepin them tidy & hidden for that matter
