Emo and Goth: Differences

I just got so tired of people calling me emo because I wear black and asking if Im depressed and stuff. So Ive decided to make a video that talks about both goth and emo, the differences and the basics to both subcultures. Please dont post anti emo/goth comments here because its just a waste of time. And no im not emo I have nothing to do with emos I just thought it would be an idear to let people understand about emos as well as goths when telling the difference. Oh and btw if Ive made any mistakes you think be free to comment! Bewarned you will have to read what it says to get this fully and hopefully at the end youll see that emos and goths are NOTHING at all alike. Enjoy the vid and enjoy the music :)

PLEASE READ BEFORE REPLYING: Ok Ive heard alot of people saying that goth didnt come from music, it came from the germanic tribe goth. Well ok it may be true that the gothic style was around several hundred years before the music (hence Bram Stolkers Dracula) it did not form to be a subculture until bands like sisters of mercy and the cure came out. It was only then that people into that dark style started to come together as a subculture and actually started using the phrase goth, and of course the darkness in goth was shown through this music. Just thought that needed to be cleared up!

Who gives a fuck? I mean I classify myself as emo. I dye my hair black whenever it fades. I wear skinny jeans, nothing but. And I listen to shit like hawthorne heights. BUT in all honesty...the suicide faze has past me. I used to cut n stuff...I'm actually pretty happy, just prefer guitars over rap or piano. lol. anyways...judgmental assholes should just stop worring bout emos or goths and go focus on yourself for being a cold hearted dick
