@Vstang8 Its automatic bro his tranny shifts to early ,thats why he downshifted around 60 and when he shifted back to drive that was the end of him.

@arkvoodle38 Before modding I put a transmission cooler then I went with a CAI , exhaust , headers and tune.

@mrbonesripper you do realize that's a chevy 5.0 which is a 305, that ford is a 302 5.0, secondly fords gearing is always messed up, but since you had to do something to beat that stock 5.3 ss proves that it's still fast, they do about 5.5-5.7 0-60 stock. I'm a GM guy so any chevy or GM is good for me

@INSANEFREAK1...stop drinking the bong water... i have a 86 capri 5.0 and i raced against a buddy of mine in a ss impala and all he could see was my tail lights... and nothing major was done to my car other than mass air conversion,new a9p tuned ecm, and throttle body and spacer

every ford guy shut up, first off the 06-2009 impala ss are fucking bad and do around 5.5 0-60, i own a 90 fox body, its a 4 banger but its enough for me to know that all fords gearing is messed up, chevys will always be faster and better deal with it

I beat one of these impalas today from a stop in my 94 gt 5spd. Its not stock but nothing major, just cam exhaust cai and 3.73s.
