well the V6 engine and tranny was filled with water so it was all junk and after a very egshauseing weekend of work and takeing the oil pan off the v6 (the originol one was rotten) to discover that it was filled with water was decivieng so i returned the new oil pan and quit the progect but if i can find a 3.0L V6 from a tempo topaz that is junk but runs and drives the progect shall resume but i dont Know if i will find one so the blue tempos days are counting cause come spring time its scrapping time of junk cars around the property and unfortunatley the blue tempo might go with them.

  • Garrett,

If you want to have a badass ride, find a V-6 out of a Taurus SHO and swap in into a Tempo. It would be the ultimate sleeper.

  • you know its funny you said that cause i got a old 93' Taurus SHO but ive got to figure out whats wrong with it it wont run on all the cyilinders

  • Don't forget, it doesn't necessarily have to be a Tempo/Topaz you get the engine from. A Ford Aerostar or Taurus may have the same engine as well.

  • i think a taurus/sable engine will work but i think ive got to switch the belt pullys

  • Im sure junking ONE Tempo isnt gonna hurt, especially when you have 20 others :P

  • yea, but that one is still a part of me,

its hard to let something go that you love so much

  • wow thats a fail, the body is in decent shape...atleast from what I saw...

  • @macsux1 The 2,732,542 original buyers would probally think otherwise

  • dude just switch fav cars. nobody cares about tempos. that was like fords "WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!!" car i prefer 87 to 91 honda accords

  • @themaritimeman Aerostar/explorer/ranger engine would be RWD and have different pully and accesory positioning.

  • @topazmercury Get Daves help. Do something different, Put a General Motors 3.1 mpfi or 3800 v6 in a Tempo, It would be faster, more reliable, and sound better. Not to mention, no one has ever done that. YOu coulda just got a new tranni for that 2.3.

  • no mater what the others say IM BUYING A TEMPO!!! I LOVE THE CARS!!! :D

  • whats the point of this video? lol

  • Any car can be fixed and restored, so If you like it that much go for it. The SHO motor is a great idea, I had a 94. Or maybe you could get that vette in the background.
