We carpenters call that a Roto-Zip tool! Sheetrock hangers have used them for years and years to make the cutouts in drywall for electrical boxes. Makes sense there would be a version to cut metal.

I got yell at once for playing with a rotozip once. Had a little pipe noise in the wall and wanted to see if something was loose. Took a half sheet of rock to fix the "inspection hole". Ok, maybe some tools are better left to the pros!!

I prefer the pencil grinder to a Dremel. Dremels are too overpowered. If it snags, the bit jerks or breaks. With a pencil grinder, the bit just slows down or stops.

@googacct Good point!! Air tool torque versus electric motor torque.. very different from one to the other.
