Great Central Railway winter steam gala 2012 THE BIG ONE P2

january 2012 saw the great central railway's biggest winter steam gala to date starring 10 steam engines including visiting M7 30053 in southern form of 53, recently restored ivatt 2MT 46521 with it's standard sister 78019, mainline visitor 70013 oliver cromwell with 5305LA shed mate mate 30777 sir lamiel. also appearing were the 04 no. 63601 which is 100 years old this year with the red 8F 8624, N2 1744, 4953 Pitchford Hall and jinty 47406 all were used on an intensive timetable including demonstration freight trains, travelling pst office demonstrations, passenger and local trains on the double tracked mainline of the great central railway
