Great video and song,cynical old sod that I am aside for the moment, my own take on it is that there's the accident, the two guys have 'near death experiences' the big guy (Arthur)dies and stays with the 'angels' while the guy who survives will have to wait a little longer to pass his 'audition' and be accepted etc.
BTW anyone know who the stunning blonde dancer is ?

I love this song and the video is so uplifting! Im not sure what happens at the end though, which guy was arthur and what happened to each of them?

Arthur is the miner who dances throughout the video. I feel the idea is that sometimes, Life, gives us all a chance to do something different; something we wouldn't otherwise consider doing. Arthur saw his chance, and took it; leaving behind his friend, who returns back to normal life, as well as the dull, black & white existence Arthur once knew.

It could be the meaning behind the wonderfully repetitive chorus: "Since I left you... I found the world so blue". (The word "blue" meaning colourful... like blue skies, rather than when someone is 'feeling blue' -- depressed) The song saved my life ;)
