salute to the drivers. OMG wat a tough job. Current era drivers have the luxury of sitting and watching the route thro toughened glasses but these guys need to peep out all d time...imagine the same on a moonless night...it wud be the challenging task of their journey...God bless them.
Wow a steam engine!! I really miss them a lot. We traveled a lot by these steam hauled MG trains and i really miss them a lot now. Thanks to you on behalf of all steam lovers
I think those of us who have actually traveled in these quaint trains and have been through these journeys across India are the fortunate ones. A wonderful documentary and the grand old man's love for his trusty beast warms the portals of the heart. Sadly, the era of the Steam Engine is past and our children will never know what it is like to travel in one.
Thank you so much for posting this. As a steam aficionado, this documentary has immense nostalgic value for me. The men who drove these beauties took pride in their machines, their jobs, their responsibilities , their accomplishments unlike the diesel and electric crews these days. The end of steam saw the end of a glorious era for the Indian railways.
imagine driving a steam loco in the midst of great indian summer
