How to Tie a Bow on a Gift

Tips:

- Keep the shiny side of the ribbon facing up
- There are different kinds of ribbon. The common ones are the fabric, wire and papery ribbons. Fabric ribbons are easy to use. Wire ribbon is also easy to use and manipulate, but be careful! Sometimes the wire may not be woven into the fabric tightly, leaving the wire exposed which can prick or cut you. Just be careful. Papery ribbon is hard to use because it wrinkles easily. I wouldn't recommend it.
- Wire ribbon loops can be heart shaped or the ends can be curled. The curling is done by winding the ribbon around a thick marker.
- Adding a tie-on, such as a holiday ornament, can really make a gift look like it was done professionally. It can be tied into the bow or taped under it.
