Keezzel: Why did they use stones? Why didn't they build some hi-tech building?

No disrespect, but the ability to cut several million 10- and -20-ton stones and raise them up to 150 meters (450+ feet) in the air to build 3 awesome pyramids is the very definition of "hi-tech".

The elite built them. They always like to keep secrets to themselves. They used all the slave labor at the time with the believe of the people on a religion that all of them agree with. It is obvious to me. The masons have built and encoded the secrets on the structure to be passed threw the generations. A code they only understand. The most advanced crane wouldnt be able to lift the stones quick enough let alone be as accurate. from a satelite view the point of the pyramid is only a quater of an inch out from the centre!!! and from what trees is there to put logs under the stones in a desert!? just a theory and im not tryng to say what you have to believe cus i dont care, but it makes you think. They built out of stone, as that was the most freely available material and lasts longer than any other architectural material, stands up to earthquakes better. The reasoning behind the conception of the pyramids is a mystery but was clearly the work of highly advanced minds who had highly advanced skills and technologies.
