  • all of the engine cowl panels are made to be removable so the amazing amount of detail on this kit won't be permanently hidden. the flaps and control surfaces are all posable, and the nose cone comes off too- so nothing will go to waste! the mouldings will be top quality and the fit of parts is spot on, this will be a seriously impressive kit!

  • i wouldn't care if it cost £200, i'd still buy it. (just don't tell airfix)

  • @mosquito1958 I'm still waiting for a 1:48 Vulcan to go with my Canberra.

  • I now wish that Airfix would consider tooling up to build the Lancaster or the Wellington bombers at the 1/24 scale , now the detail would blow my mind if they could, the kits would be more expensive but well worth the wait ;)

  • Just nab it 25% off on sale - $129 in the door :)

    And I second the ME110 at 1/24th!

  • Kit Update , I now have purchased a kit today from HobbyCraft retail selling at UK £99.99p , because it was the last remaining kit and the box seals were all open they agreed I look inside and check the contents to see if all were there. It had a security alrm wire wrapped around it with alarm box unit so it is unlikley any parts were missing., they gave me a 10% discount so I paid Uk £89.99 ;)

  • This kit is sold in the Uk at around the £129.0 which I believe is far too expensive since its launch over a year ago.

You can get it cheaper by searching for about £100 on auction sites or trawl the net for smaller hobby stores who cannot sell them because they are overpriced.

Perhaps airfix may want to lower the cost of this kit to around the £75-80 pound price range and get some kits sold...

  • airfix needs to make some 1:400 scale WW2 ships like the hms repulse and hms nelson

  • Brilliant. I have just bought this model and I cannot wait to get it assembled. How do I save the instructions?

  • This is a brilliant video!... :) :)

  • @whikless yep, this kit is definately bang for buck, no matter how expensive it is, I have the kit, and by jesus there's a ton of detail...
