the suits would be to heavy and not practical enough for working conditions in the case of chernobyl.nasasuits are designed for limited radiation time ,but thats not a problem as spacewalks are always limited because of other reasons.and by the way ; in every second we are hit by billions of particals that go through us without any harm !

Okay, so the mirrors that we use to bounce laser light, to measure the earth-moon system.. got there.. how?
1. moon landings were conducted during solar-activity lows. Most of the time was spent on the dark-side, or in close orbit to the earth.
2. the earth magnetosheath extends to about 70 000 km from earth surface, the orbit of the saturn rockets are a few thousand km.

Since we can "Protect" people from radiation then why did the liquidators at Chernobyl only have 60sec a peice to throw radioactive material off the roof? Why not wear Space suits that stop radiation and stay as long as you like, they would have been fine. The moon is radioactive and we walked on it, just google Compton Gamma Ray Observatory if you don't believe me. Cosmic rays are High Z particles right?? The sun puts out all radiation in all spectrums right ??
