I think 1971-1972, yes i had bell bottoms then, The war was still on and so was the draft. I had a us flag on a back pocket, un aware of the crap I got for having it there.
My mom got calls, kicked out of a few stores......I just liked the flag....had no clue lol

This was a Tv Special from about 78, when I was in high school. It was called 'Echoes of the 60's'. Had a lot of the groups from back then in interviews and performance clips. I played it to death on betamax when I recorded it. They also did Love Potion Number nine.

@luvmuzk This video looks 70s to me. . Must have been a retro special. Searchers in the early-mid 60s had much shorter hair, looked very much like the Beatles, w/ dark suits, narrow peg-legged pants.

@luvmuzk no way man, this is color film with seventies hair cuts- u r nuts

Good point! As far as I'm concerned, Mike Pender IS The Searchers. He sang many of the original hits and was an integral part of their sound and style. Listen to Mike's work on the two comeback albums The Searchers made for Sire Records and you will fully understand. The current touring version of The Searchers sounds like a lifeless bar band with old fat guys compared to Mike Pender's Searchers.

Great video!
when is this from--I am guessing 1976 or 1977. The bell bottoms where primarily from those 2 years.
