Valentine's day is huge in Japan. But it's a little bit different to what we have back home. Rather than guys being pressured into buying expensive gifts for their girlfriends, in Japan it's the girls who have to give chocolates to the boys! But not just husbands, boyfriends etc. they have to give then to nearly every man they know, including their boss. This "giri choco" or "Obligation chocolate" means shops are packed full of chocolate boxes in February.

Then on March 14th it's "White Day" where the guys have to give chocolates back. Funnily enough they tend to only give chocolates to their girlfriends, not to every girl they know!
