It wasn't before, but it is now which sucks. I always got some great horn salutes from the engineers. Now it's not ever going to happen.....

Were there automated horn at the crossing or was that a really bad horn for Amtrak

It was an automated horn, or otherwise called a "Wayside" horn. Sucks that there won't be anymore horn salutes from the engineers.
