  • I am a Kumu for a Hula Halau and I teach both styles, Ami is for Hawaiian and Fa'arapu is for tahitian. Please let's spread Aloha not hate.

  • for one.. quatrecinq... they're pretty good... and everyone juss like any other group always has room to improve as well as talented in many ways... for one the group doesn't look sloppy.. formations, arm/hand placements are clean.. the girls' heels are planted on the floor. and lastly their legs are closed.. this is how i see it juss as long as the girls represent their group/the culture well i give repsect and props to their dancing..

  • during the captain cook's days women in the pacific they dont wear textile skirts..what they wear is grass skirts

  • YOU CANT COMPARE TAHITIAN DANCING TO HAWAIIAN DANCING . . ITS ALWAYS THE BEST FROM WHERE IT ORIGINATED FROM...COOK ISLANDS MUCH;D

  • @fushisushiazngrl1 Hi there, Tahitian dancing, or Ori Tahiti, also known as tamure, is a dance form from Tahiti, in Polynesia, so u can say it's a Polynesian dance...dances from Polynesia varies from island to island in detail and meaning:) But what most of them have in common is that they all tell a story, since none of them had a written alphabet except from the people of Rapa Nui'E...good luck w taking classes, u can take Ori, hula or even learn dances from NZ done by the Maori!

  • @autreeisthebest I believe they talk about ami is often used over fa'arapu, and of course they have ami in both, fa'arapu derives from ami, but the point is fa'arapu is fa'arapu, ami is ami! And I know from our previous discussions that ur a racist and a rude bitch, so don't bother reply! ;D

  • Not gonna hate, they are good...

  • im a hula dancer and my friend went to hawaii and my dance group is the best :D (this isnt me btw) look me up on fb! ( either madi heidrich or alohis dance studio if you wanna see great dancers) ALOHA!

  • I agree w/shakadakine....ANYONE can dance it doesn't matter from where & yes we all need improvements but it's the joy we get from dancing. I danced for almost 11yrs bt even in those time I still needed to improve myself & still am...KUDOS to all those out there that are dancing & enjoy doing it.
