0n July 20th 1944, a select group of senior German officers made a daring attempt to assassinate their leader, Adolf Hitler.Paranoid and dependent on drugs, Hitler had lost touch with strategic reality.The war was lost - but the Fuhrer refused to admit it and some of his commanders saw no other option than to kill him. For a brief moment, the outcome of the war depended entirely upon just one man, Colonel Count Claus von Stauffenberg, meeting Hitler with a briefcase full of reports - and 4lbs of high explosives. Virtual History uses a unique fusion of the most innovative computer animation techniques ever seen on TV screens and historical documents and expertise to recreate a moment in history which was never originally captured on film. The protagonists - Hitler, Churchill, Roosevelt and Stalin among them - are brought to life using physically similar actors and an astonishing new computerised face wrapping technique which gives them the real, fully animated faces of their characters.The effect is stunning. No moment in history has ever been recreated with such authenticity before.

@Pisces31660: Hitler´s personal youngest secretary Traudl Junge reports in her autobiography "Until The Final Hour" that alone his consumption of medicaments against his digestive disorders was not normal anymore. I have nothing against certain vegetarian periods, but complete vegetarians mostly show signs of hysteria caused by their lack of certain minerals + vitamins. Hitler also couldn´t stand permanent sunlight or heat, finally causing his bunkermania.

@Pisces31660:You should always check or ask extremely racist or anti-semitic or anti-Arabic people from which physical disease they´re suffering (+ they always have one !), but i doubt they will give you an answer, they will even become more aggressive. Hitler was a fanatic vegetarian (Himmler copied him later in this respect + was into all kinda myth crap+silliest astrology), Hitler was also an amphetamine + morphine addict with daily injections by his personal physician Morrell !

@Pisces31660:LOL - Luther´s anti-semitism was later explained with his biliousness from which he finally died with 63 years, nobody really understood what was suddenly going on with him, because in younger years he hardly showed any signs of such a mania. At least he condemned Calvin+Zwingli often enough + stressed the importance of free will. But one cannot deny that he had a certain hysterical character, which was important for his resistance against the Kaiser + Rome of course.

while i believe the Germans should be very proud of all their rich history (i love living here) i would have to disagree with Barbraossa85. Just your name alone says something scary...however the "defend to the last drop" is just the mentality destroyed Germany. However i believe that the German people today have a stronger democracy n human rights society than the US. Long Live Sacred Germany!!

@Pisces31660:
I could not absolutely sign that Stauffenberg was a "national hero" for us, the most he did was in vain and MUCH MUCH too late.......
MrSKINFLICK 2 months ago
@Pisces31660:The problem for us Germans is that Stauffenberg had never been a real democrat before + that he did not decide this before until almost the last moment when it was too late. The Scholls or the Pirates from Coologne are a lot better examples for us. All the others - including churches + other "organizations" terribly failed. If people wonder why Germany partly is "unreligious" today, they should look back at such times, when the churches partly collaborated with Hitler.
