Just stumbled on your vid. Great question. I think things are starting to unravel more quickly. The financial system hasn't been fixed. But in any crisis, there will be people who can make money. On prep: basic survival supplies should be kept by all - if only for weather or other emergencies. I had a lot of peace of mind going through the 9.0 quake here, but it was heart-breaking to see pregnant women being turned away at the super market because there was no rice - and they had NONE at home.

@bjorinn - Similar situation here in Japan. There is a global currency crisis. We are already seeing the free market shifting from fiat currencies to gold and silver. Some large institutions are moving that way. The Japanese gov recently moved a large chunk of their pension fund to gold.

@3monkeysmomma - Good start. Now start buying silver and gold. Other nonfood items that disappear quickly in emergencies are useful too.

@valhala56 Ancient Astronauts, we have had many contacts with FAR more advanced lifeforms in the past and probably till the present day.

It seems pretty obvious that our present ways are not sustainable. We would have to keep doubling the population in order to pay our debts. How long can we do that before there is no more room or resources? Something has to give but I don't know what that something is.

Seaseme street says be prepared. Haven't you been paying attention? Stock up, and prepare to "get away" from the sheeple. Food, shelter, WATER, guns and ammo. The majority will stare into the light until it's too late. Use that to your advantage.
When? It will occur suddenly, and probably with a false flag, such as a pandemic. Check out the case against W.H.O. and the corporations prepared for a pandemic. How about "cap in trade". Another bill slammed down congress w/no reading. MJ=convenient.

Now, I'm not an American, and my country's (Sweden) position is more unclear to me. I have no idea how the economic crisis of USA will effect Europe as a whole and Sweden in particular. Our interest rates are very low (0.25) so inflation will hit us, that's for sure.
I hope people world wide will wake up to the fact that our economies rely on perpetual accelerating growth. And then, realizing that the sky is NOT the limit, will hopefully get people to demand a different monetary system.
-
I think USA will lose its position of a super power and I think it will be much poorer than it is right now. People will lose their jobs and houses even more than during the Great Depression. That's in a nutshell what I believe.

my bettter off relatives won't let me grow veggies on their property, they see , rightly perhaps, welfare as a major evil, but I think food stamps as minimalist welfare are important, I don't mind living in tents.

I think it be real. I am planting crops on side of road and in vacant fields and trying to convince my better off relatives to allow me to grow veggies on their property so far to no avail.
The collapse of the world economy is by design. The plan is to have the world at each other's throats, via financial Armageddon, starvation, disease and war. Once a couple of billion people cease to exist, a new order will arise. A single government, installed, beg by a battered civilization, in a world where martial law has longed been prevalent, to never be removed in the name of order, the New World Order.

"What are you doing about it?"
1. Writing "nasty-grams" to my elected officials, almost weekly.
2. Stockpiling non-perishable food.
3. We now have two guns and ammo...and I'm a "prissy suburbinite" who is afraid of guns.
Is there something else I should be doing? I'm open for suggestions at this point.
