Andrew, if the cop didn't harass or hassle you, is it possible that perhaps he was a railfan himself? Plenty of cops are.

Usually when a cop drives down to P-E, they stop in the parking lot, ask me what I am doing, and then force me to leave. Today, this cop was stopped on BNSF property, and talking to the (alleged) conductor. Never seen something like this before.
