  • Could you please post the scene where Humphrey tries to tell the minister he's to be promoted and Hacker apparently thinks he's dying?

And thanks for posting this. The best TV series ever.

  • I had it posted along with several other clips. YouTube yanked them because of copyright complaints from the BBC. Why they left this one up is beyond me.

  • Hacker's only significant triumph.

  • Absolutely brilliant series.

  • " I don't & I won't." We all know form whom this comes !!!

  • The beauty of the English sense of humour - insult, arrogance, and tolerance to go with them.

Or else such a good programme would not have come about. I love England, so do everyone in my family and friends.

  • The greatest politicial comedy ever!

    Thanks for posting.

  • If there is one constant thing in British politics it surely is Europe. Being anti-EU is the last resort for any politican who badly needs more votes.

  • Reminds me of when John Major became Tory leader—because he was seen as less divisive as the others who put their name forward.

  • It was the last-ever Yes Minister, called Party Games, and an hour long special in which the Rt Hon James Hacker MP accidentally got elevated into Number 10. The next episode was the first Yes Prime Minister.

  • Yes, I agree. It was an unusual episode. I recall it was a special that wasn't tagged on to any series of the show, and even the opening animation (showing the episode title card) was different. It does, of course, end with the line 'Yes, Prime Minister'.
