Hi there

Couldn't resist, used the save game editor to give me all the weapons and a few handy objects (including the Destinator) and threw together this little vid of me mucking around. I never got this far in the game myself back in the day.

As sad as it is the ending is simply what you see - the ships engines fire, a couple of notes play and that is all she wrote. Had at least hoped for a "Well done" but no such luck.

@ScrunchyBumpkin Thanks for the info! For years I loved this game and would love to see interviews with the surviving programmers. Superior Software is still around so I wonder if the completion prizes are still up for grabs hehe.

Ahhh memories! @Jay/Argonaut - rescuing the astronauts just gave you a big points bonus. @Taberham - the ship just seems to orbit the planet over and over again. Eventually Triax reappears and steals the destinator. if you manage to fall out everything goes a bit strange, and the ship eventually stops.

I thought you had to rescue the two surviving astronauts from the planet along with the destinator in order to complete it properly?

wow! thanks for sharing this. i was always curious how this thing ended. does it say anything after that bit at the end? or just "game over?"
