yes the free press and media were our demise especailly when the got rid of Philippine strong Man Ferdinand Marcos, we should have listen to Marcos and the U.S. govt. instead of kids, uneducated umemployed and college kids with no experience even nuns and preiests who have no business in politics or govt. Its sad to see Philippines drop below Vietnam, during Marcos 21yrs in power we never fell behind the s.koreans, today they surpass us becos the u.s. support

them more & have more control and strict with there people, Marcos should have even more been harsh, strict and meaner and less kinder to our society, some or our young 1's are hard headed, and they messed up the Marcos and U.S. blueprint to advancement. during the 80's so much irresponsible media, it was very detremental to our society, even the chinese know it, just imagine if the Chinese had a big edsa just like we did but they did have a mass protest also in the 90's but the kids and college students were neutralized by the sted fast army and law enforcement unlike ours during Edsa86, and look today the chinese are no.1 in asia becoz of the wise and more experience elders, We shud hav listen to Marcos and the u.s.a before !!

Ya many of the Communists Chinese came to our country and do propaganda,

because the communists know it is very easy to prey on the minds of the uneducated poor, rich and middle class. Especially if your unemployed, they can blame the president before. Very true in the 50's, 60's, 70's the Media are very good to the Marcos's

but with the advent of many Chinese easily coming to our shores before

it was easy for them to get to the heads of many uneducated rich, poor and middle class before via television. And fool the hearts and minds of many Filipinos before. you can tell the people did a mistake in edsa86 because even now they are stabbing in the dark and choosing leaders not by qualification look at Erap he became presidnt
